To strengthen Jewish community safety, self-reliance, and solidarity through education in responsible marksmanship, safety, and preparedness. We promote sport, personal development, community engagement, and preparedness grounded in ethics, safety and mutual respect.

Everything we do is rooted in Jewish community and mutual-care. The organization is a 501c3 nonprofit.
We meet monthly for an hour of education and an hour of range time.

This allows for education, training, and community support possible year-round.

We meet the 4th Sunday of the month from 2pm-4pm at Ann Arbor Arms.
This covers range and operations fees and paid only when you attend.
Our Story
Our Story
Shomrim Marksmanship Association was founded by Scott and Taryn out of a shared belief that safety, responsibility, and community care belong at the center of any conversation about self-defense. In response to rising antisemitism and increasing feelings of isolation, the organization was created to offer education, training, and a welcoming space rooted in mutual responsibility. Our work is guided by the belief that preparedness and community go hand in hand.
